On the heels of winning the Central Oregon Builders Association (COBA) "Builder of the Year" award for the second time, Sage Builders, LLC recently took home the President's Award from the same organization.
"The President's Award is given each year to the member who provides exceptional service to COBA and to our community in general," said COBA Executive Vice President Tim Knopp. "By continuing to bring in new members and making huge contributions to the Bend Area Habitat for Humanity, Sage earned every bit of the award over the past year."
Last summer, Sage and another builder participated in the local Habitat for Humanity's Race to the Roof Blitz Build to construct homes for two low-income families. We at Sage are honored to support Habitat's mission of providing affordable housing to those who contribute their sweat equity to the building project. For information about how you can support the Bend Area Habitat for Humanity, call 541-385-5387 or email info@bendhabitat.org.
While many people like a custom home with a big floor plan, big yard and all the trimmings, Sage knows full well that some folks prefer things in a smaller, simpler package with a lot less maintenance. That's the irresistible appeal of our NorthWest Commons town homes in the highly popular, mixed-use development of NorthWest Crossing in Bend.
With shopping, dining, schools and services right in the neighborhood, NorthWest Commons has caught the attention of young professionals, busy families and active retirees alike. All 46 units under construction in Phase I come loaded with features typical of a Sage Builders custom home. Luxury packages include stainless steel kitchen appliances and under-mounted kitchen sinks, porcelain and granite tile countertop accents, custom alder wood cabinetry and oil-rubbed bronze finishes.
Ideally located just a block from five-acre Compass Park, NorthWest Commons offers three different floor plans, ranging from 1,388 to 1,896 square feet. With prices as low as $359,900, the lock-and-leave lifestyle has never looked so attractive.

It's full speed ahead for Sage Builders in Southern Oregon as two new developments emerge just outside of Klamath Falls. Aspen Run is a collection of 94 golf villas built by Sage at Running Y Ranch, the spectacular golf resort overlooking Upper Klamath Lake. The villas feature two distinctive floor plans (1,610-square-foot, single-level and 1,918-square-foot, two-story), one of which has lockable suites that allow owners to keep a part of the unit private and rent out the rest.
Just down the road from Running Y, the JELD-WEN Corporation is developing another new private community known as RidgeWater. Sage Builders has been chosen as a feature builder in this gated neighborhood which promises plenty of peace and quiet, along with golf, fishing and a host of other outdoor activities. For details on Aspen Run, call Running Y Ranch Real Estate Sales at 541-850-5660. For more information on RidgeWater, visit discoverridgewater.com or call 800-569-9015. After creating a name for itself at Eagle Crest, in Bend on Awbrey Butte and in NorthWest Crossing, and now in Klamath Falls at Running Y Ranch, Sage Builders is making its mark at Yarrow in the north Central Oregon town of Madras. Sage has completed construction of the community's Discovery Center and broken ground on an assortment of view homes for the 900-acre, mixed-use development named after a native flowering plant with special healing powers.
"We are excited to be building at Yarrow," said Sage President Mark Huffman. "It's the first master-planned community where we've been involved from the inception of the project and we'll continue to play a significant role throughout its development."
Situated in the rolling hills on the east side of Madras, Yarrow is a joint venture of Brooks Resources Corporation, JELD-WEN Communities, LLC and Taylor Northwest. The community will feature a variety of housing sizes and types, a mixed-use area with retail amenities, pedestrian-friendly streets and walkways, and an 18-hole public golf course.
